FiteNite is
a widely anticipated social event created by police employees on their
own time, that guests attend on their own time, which caters to the 911
community.
FiteNite combines
humour with sub-amateur boxing that has a strong “professional wrestling”
flavour.
FiteNite
a PRIVATE function, to which only 911 EMPLOYEES, JUDGES and JUSTICES OF
THE PEACE, CROWN ATTORNEYS, COURT STAFF, PRISON GUARDS, TTC EMPLOYEES,
EMERGENCY DOCTORS and NURSES, escorted FRIENDS of the previous,
and SPONSORS may attend.
The
purpose of FiteNite
is to provide an evening of levity to its invited guests, and thereby promote
camaraderie, co-operation, and friendship. FiteNite
provides
the venue for guests to showcase and bring pride to their professions and
workplaces amongst hundreds of people of related professions. Charity
is not the main purpose of FiteNite,
but proudly, it is the MAIN side-effect.
FiteNite proceeds
are donated to The
P.E.A.C.E Fund (Police Enabling Action for Community

FUND VOLUNTEERS engage
a very difficult yearly selection process and decide which deserving students
from the Regent Park, Toronto will receive $10,000
scholarships. The moneys are paid directly to their intended uses, not
the students, over four years, and only if the recipients continue towards
their educational goals.
FiteNite proceeds

The
P.E.A.C.E Fund
well exceed $120,000.00
to date, with a long list of students who have or are currently benefiting.
